The Observer Effect

For a very long time until 1900, we believed that atoms were the smallest building blocks of matter. Not anymore, because at the beginning of the 20th century, modern science discovered that there are even smaller particles, like protons, neutrons, electrons, quarks, positrons, photons, etc, including alpha and beta particles. Physicists quickly went to work to study the nature of these subatomic particles; the result is Quantum mechanics.

To fully understand the universe, a holistic approach is essential which should include the physical and the unseen or the “spiritual” realms. We must start from the known to the unknown. As we proceed from the known, the unknown will begin to make sense and comprehensible. The quantum world is the transitional realm between the two worlds: the known and the unknown, or if you like, the physical and the other dimensions.

Always keep in mind that the word “spiritual” is primitive in origin, relating to every ‘unexplained phenomenon’ or mystery encountered by the primitive people of the Bible. Today, many of these mysteries have been resolved by modern science. Ultimately, the word “spiritual” will cease to exist as soon as mankind completely dominates the earth with science and technology. For now, we will continue to break down one mystery after another until we reach our goal of fulfilling our mandate on this planet.

One of the mysteries of Quantum Mechanics is the Double Slit Experiment. In this experiment, a beam of particles such as electrons was fired through a double slit and onto a screen behind. This formed an interference pattern on the screen as if each electron were a wave that passed through both slits at once. The same result was obtained when single electrons were fired one at a time through the slits.

However, something strange happened when they tried to observe which slit the electrons passed through by placing a Detector (an observation device) close to the slits. When the detector was switched off, a normal wave-like interference pattern was visible on the screen, but when it was switched on the interference pattern on the screen disappeared into a particle-like behaviour with a two-stripe pattern. Before now, electrons were thought to be particles of matter and not waves. In other words, when one is looking, the electrons behave like particles, but when one is not looking, they behave like waves.

The results of these experiments caused the world of physics to question many of its laws, as they tried to find explanations for this strange phenomenon. Up till today, physicists are not in agreement as to how to interpret the result.

Many explanations have been put forward but the most popular one is the Copenhagen interpretation, first posed by physicist Niels Bohr in 1920. It says that a quantum particle doesn’t exist in one state or another, but in all of its possible states at once. It’s only when we observe its state that a quantum particle is essentially forced to choose one probability, and that’s the state that we observe. In other words, they are waves of probabilities (or wave function) until the moment they are measured. This measurement collapses the probability waves of the particles, making them distinct particles with distinct properties. This interpretation suggests that the measurement being made requires a conscious observer.

This state of existing in all possible states at once is called an object’s coherent superposition. When the object is observed, the superposition collapses and the object is forced into one of the states of its wave function. But what happens to all the other quantum states present in the wave function as described by the Copenhagen Interpretation before it collapsed? That mystery is not explained in the interpretation. However, there is another quantum interpretation that explains that question. It’s called the Many-Worlds Interpretation or MWI, put forward by Hugh Everett in the late 1950s.

According to Hugh Everett, the wave never collapses, every time a wave seemingly collapses in our universe, there is a parallel universe where no such collapse takes place. He argued that the entire universe is one gigantic wave function that contains all possible realities. In his thesis, he called it the universal wave function. This means that the universe is in superposition, and as it evolves, some of these superpositions break down, making certain realities or worlds distinct and isolated from each other.

Everett addressed the measurement problem by making the environment and the observer an integral part of the system observed. Again, according to him, the universe does not split and create a new universe, rather the probability of all realities, or universes, already exist in the universal wave function, all of them occupying the same space-time.

Bryce DeWitt who, later in the 1970s, popularized the many-worlds interpretation says, “Every quantum transition taking place on every star, in every galaxy, in every remote corner of the universe is splitting our local world on earth into myriads of copies.” This splitting occurs whenever a wave collapses, meaning whenever a measurement of observation occurs. This means the numbers of splits and parallel universes have to be colossal.

In the late 1990s, Max Tegmark, an MIT physicist, who was famous for proposing a thought experiment called quantum suicide, opined that “The act of making a decision causes a person to split into multiple copies”. However, according to David Wallace, this can only be true if consciousness is confined to a single branch of the quantum multiverse.

A conscious being is by nature a decision-maker. He is an authority unto himself. His ability to make decisions is rooted in his capacity for exercising free will. Just as atoms are the building blocks of matter, decisions are the building blocks of creations: inventions, technologies, civilizations, planets, stars, universes, etc.

“And God said, Let us make man in our image… “ DECISION

“And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.“ DECISION

Our present civilization is a product of many years of conscious human decisions.

If we look at the configuration of the cosmos, we will observe a certain order which is evident in many aspects of life. In the universe, each galaxy is a conglomeration of billions of stars, each of which is orbited by planets and other bodies. In like manner, matter is a conglomeration of billions of atoms. At the centre of each atom is the nucleus orbited by electrons. A similar analogy can be seen in our collective decisions. Since the inception of consciousness at the deployment of the born-again technology 2,000 years ago,  mankind has developed millions of technologies or inventions that have improved our quality of life thereby advancing our civilization. Every invention or technology is a product of our collective conscious decisions. That being the case, every one of our inventions represents a galaxy in our cosmos, while our collective conscious decisions represent the billions of stars or suns in our Milky Way. So, in a manner of speaking, our collective conscious decisions orbit our inventions.

Everyone and everything in the universe is multidimensional, which means that we exist in many worlds or universes at the same time. Strange as it may sound, these worlds are “created” by us. The more worlds we “create” the more we grow as conscious beings, and this growth is measured in consciousness and responsibility. Every conscious decision made by a conscious being “creates” a new world (or universe) for that being different from the immediate previous world only by that decision. In other words, for every decision you make, at least two of “you” evolve on the other side of that decision. One universe exists for the choice you make, and one universe for the choice you didn’t make.

The more worlds we “create”, the bigger our responsibility, and consequently the higher our status and authority in the universe. I use the word “create” because we do not really create them. They are already there, billions of them within one world, waiting to be occupied by us by the conscious decisions we make on a daily basis.

Take note of this “They are already there, billions of them within one world”. Could this be what Christ meant when He said:

“In my father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.”- John 14:2.

If this is the case, then the only way in which we can occupy these mansions is by the decisions we make. When each mansion is fully occupied, a technology is developed. This continues until the ultimate technology – youth rejuvenating non-ageing biological immortality technology emerges. Therefore, these mansions are there waiting to be occupied by us; and we occupy them through the decisions we make on a daily basis.

We deprive ourselves of the opportunity to occupy new worlds when we:

  1. Fail or refuse to make conscious decisions in our everyday lives. For example, seeking to live our lives by miracles, praying to God for help, looking for approvals, etc.
  2. Give blind obedience to external authorities. For example, always acting on the orders or dictates of others, this includes friends, pastors, rabbis, religion, society, the state, drugs, traditions, etc.
  3. Default in exercising our free will, and in the use of our brain.

When we respond in blind obedience to external authorities, we create or occupy worlds that we are not responsible for. Such worlds do not belong to us either. They belong to the gods or the “external authorities” responsible for those decisions. This is consequential to the effect that we have surrendered our ownership and authority to the gods and to the “external authorities”. This explains why and how all the civilizations of the world belonged to Satan, the God of this world. But thanks to Consciousness and free will, sequel to the deployment of Christ’s Immortality Technology, C.I.T., 2,000 years ago; we are now creating and occupying our own worlds, thus taking back our authority.

This brings us to the very interesting topic of Quantum mysticism.

Quantum mysticism is a set of metaphysical beliefs and associated practices that seek to relate consciousness, intelligence, spirituality, or mystical worldviews to the ideas of quantum mechanics and its interpretations. Quantum mysticism is considered by most scientists to be pseudoscience or quackery: source – Wikipedia.

The result of the double-slit experiment did not sit well with Albert Einstein because of the arguable influence of human consciousness. That is, when you are looking, the particle behaves like a particle, but when you are not looking, it behaves like a wave. Einstein argued, “I like to think that the moon is there even when am not looking at it”. He accused Bohr of introducing mysticism in science. In the 1920s, the mysticism controversy spread into the public domain and worldwide, sparking the launch of many books seeking to connect quantum physics to Eastern mysticism and Christian spirituality.

Even Werner Heisenberg, a German physicist, and philosopher had this to say:

“The first gulp from the glass of natural sciences will make you an atheist but at the bottom of the glass God is waiting.” – Warner Heisenberg.

Thus, quantum mechanics was hijacked by religion and mysticism – quantum mysticism. The result: nearly a century has passed, the physics community and other scientists the world over are still in disagreement about the interpretation of the experiment. Secondly, the initial enthusiasm and energy that greeted quantum mechanics among physicists have died without any significant advancement in that area. We are talking about almost a century ago, and this scenario may continue for more centuries to come. This is the cancerous effect of mysticism.

Religionists and mystics do nothing other than wait for God to act, and so we could wait forever. With Quantum mechanics mankind is on the threshold of a golden age. Quantum mysticism is now mankind’s greatest enemy, the dragon that guards the door to our glory. This dragon must be slain or circumvented for the sake of our immortality.

Yes, God may be waiting at the bottom of the glass, but that God is not a mystical God, but a non-mystical God: our father. Just as a child will eventually become a father, each one of us will eventually become God. This is necessary for the continuous propagation and preservation of eternity for everyone. Always keep in mind that:

We chose from the beginning the path of science in the Garden of Eden to be like God our creator. This path of science requires the maximum use of our brains for survival. On the other hand, spirituality requires the suspension of our analytical thinking tool – the brain, and the dependency on the gods for survival.

As explained before, everything in the universe exists in many worlds or universes at the same time and location. Each of these worlds is linked to a quantum (quantity) of consciousness. Thus, with the appropriate level of consciousness, anyone can see the invisible world, which is a product of science.

In 2 Kings 2:11, the primitive people of the Old Testament saw an advanced alien Technology for space travel. They described it according to their consciousness; that is, according to their knowledge and awareness: horses, chariots, and fire. Hence, they called it Chariot of fire.

“As they were walking along and talking, suddenly a chariot of fire appeared, drawn by horses of fire. It drove between the two men, separating them, and Elijah was carried by a whirlwind into heaven.” 2 Kings 2:11 NLT.

Did they really see horses? The answer is Yes and No. They were looking at an advanced technology for space travel. Because this technology was far beyond their time, they saw Horses and Fire. In the Double slit experiment of Quantum Mechanics, this represents The Particle. However, if anyone of the advanced intelligence that created that technology looked at that same technology, they would not perceive Horses and Fire because indeed, there were no horses and fire. So, where did the horses and fire come from? The answer is Consciousness.

We do not see things the way they are, but the way we are, according to our consciousness.
